About
Megan is a PhD researcher at NUI Galway, her project looks at the stability of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation and how it is linked to abrupt climate events during warm periods. Her project is funded by iCRAG and the GSI as part of the Environmental Geoscience Programme.
She obtained a BSc in Earth and Ocean Science at NUI Galway (2013-2017), and then completed a MSc in Physical Oceanography at Bangor University (2017-2018). Her MSc thesis focused on Inertial Oscillations in the Arctic Ocean, specifically the Canada Basin.
